The Eddystone Fire Police Unit is made up of men and women who are specially trained to not only protect Emergency workers at the scene of an incident, but to also keep the general public out of harms way. They are sworn in by the mayor and have limited Police powers. Some of the duties of the Fire Police are, but not limited to: Traffic control at both Emergency and non-Emergency incidents, scene safety, scene security, also Police assistance.

03/13/2010 - Today at 1646hrs Station 12 FP along with the 12th and 3rd District FP were called out to Rt. 291 and Stewart to shut down the 4 lane highway. Heavy rains came through the area causing major flooding. Times in service 1hr 54min.

01/19/2010 - Sta. 12 Fire police as well as 12th District fire police assisted 23 cars on traffic during the evening rush hour when a driver of a tractor trailor could not read a bridge height sign.
