Eddystone Emergency Medical Services

Eddystone Emergency Medical Services is responsible and provides the residents of Eddystone Borough and the surrounding communities with a Pennsylvania state certified Basic Life Support (BLS) ambulance along with 3 Quick Response Units (QRS).  The BLS ambulance is a 2000 AEV Trauma Hawk, which is stocked in compliance with the PA Department of Health Standards.  All crew members responding to medical emergencies are PA State certified as either Emergency Medical Technicians (EMT) or Emergency Responders. Our QRS division consists of a 2002 Ford Expedition, 1999 Hover Systems Hover Craft, and a 1978 US Army J-Boat.  Our QRS units are also stocked in compliance with the PA Department of Health QRS Standards.  The ground unit, Ford Expedition, is used as a back up unit when ambulance 12-7 is committed to another medical emergency or out of service.  The 2 river units are utilized for medical emergencies on the river where the ambulance can not respond.  The 2 QRS river units will start medical treatment and stabilize the patients on the river and transfer care to the ambulance unit waiting at the boat dock.   The Eddystone Emergency Medical Services is a non-profit organization that supports itself through medical billing.
